Gretchen Nickel - gretchen@masterson.com
Gretchen Nickel currently oversees the operations and financial needs
of Masterson Development, a private equity and real estate development company founded in
2001. With more than 20 years in the financial services and real estate industries, Nickel has
successfully completed in excess of $400 million in corporate, real estate and private equity
transactions.
Prior to joining Masterson Development, Nickel was President of
GivingCapital, Inc, a company she helped found in 1999. GivingCapital is
a provider of philanthropic related products to large financial institutions
designed to assist their clients with charitable giving. From its inception,
GivingCapital has raised more than $500,000,000 for charitable causes
working with clients such as Smith Barney, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan
Stanley and Bank of America among others. Prior to joining GivingCapital,
Nickel was an independent consultant to emerging business ventures,
including acting CFO of a New York-based treasury and cash management
services company, and served as a senior member of a corporate acquisi-tion
team that delivered a number of successful M&A projects. Nickel also worked with Fiserv, Inc.,
a $3.4 billion financial services solutions provider, where she served as CFO of its Outsourced
Services Division, and acted as operating head of its International Bank Consulting business unit.
Her first professional assignments were with Citigroup, as vice president and financial controller for
the Asia/Pacific and Central/South America regions of the bank’s Financial Institutions Group.
Gretchen holds an MBA in Finance and International Business, and an BS in Finance from the
University of Connecticut.
