Richard (Rich) Masterson is an entrepreneur active in technology, real estate, hospitality, philanthropy and private equity.

Rich currently serves as the Chairman of Campaign Grid, an online ad network serving candidates and causes. He also is a business advisor to Ohana Companies, an online rebate processing and marketing organization serving national retailers and consumer product companies.

In 2008 Rich partnered with his brother Tom to open Classic Auto Spa in Ramsey, NJ. The state of the art facility features a full service car wash, detail center and Valvoline Express Care service center and the entire operation uses advanced recycling and the latest eco friendly car care solutions.

Rich purchased Stone Harbor Golf Club in 2007. Stone Harbor (www.stoneharborgolf.com) is the premiere private golf experience at the New Jersey shore and has been rated the 40th most difficult course in the U.S. by Golf Digest.

In 2006 Rich opened Chateau Beauvallon (www.chateaubeauvallon.com), a boutique hotel in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec Canada. The hotel has won numerous awards and in 2009 was selected the best hotel in the world by Expedia for quality and value. The property competed with 80,000 hotels worldwide and was selected by staff members and editors of Expedia.

Since 1999, Masterson has successfully developed over $150 million of real estate in Florida, Pennsylvania, Canada, Costa Rica and New Jersey. Projects range from land development in Costa Rica and single-family homes at the Jersey shore to luxury condominium projects and a five-star hotel in the four-season resort of Mt Tremblant Canada.

Masterson is the principal owner of Chateau Beauvallon (www.chateaubeauvallon.com), a 70 room condo hotel in Mt Tremblant, Quebec Canada. He is also a partner in 333 Sherbrooke (www.333sherbrooke.com) the premier luxury condominium project in downtown Montreal.

From 1999 to 2004 Masterson served as Chairman of GivingCapital. By partnering with Wall Street clients such as Morgan Stanley, Solomon Smith Barney and others, GivingCapital raised over $650 million for charity before being acquired by a publicly held company focused on philanthropic services.

Rich's private equity interests include being a limited partner in Cross Atlantic Capital Partners (www.xacp.com), a venture capital firm with offices in Pennsylvania, London and Ireland.

In 1994 Masterson founded US Interactive, an internet professional services firm with clients including Microsoft, IBM, American Express, Disney, Toyota and the US Senate. US Interactive completed its initial public offering in 1999 and Masterson is recognized as one of the pioneers in online marketing.

Prior to starting US Interactive Rich was President of The American Lease Exchange, the first business-to-business advertiser on Prodigy Interactive Personal Service, an online videotext joint venture of IBM and Sears.

Masterson is active in philanthropy and is currently on the advisory board of Comfort Zone Camps. He has previously served on the board of numerous charitable organizations including The National Philanthropic Trust, The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Wellness Community of Philadelphia.

Rich endowed the first full business school scholarship at James Madison University in honor of his father Thomas Masterson. The scholarship requires all graduates of the business school to participate in a case study entitled "Ethics in Business" and one student is selected for the scholarship annually.

He is a graduate of James Madison University and the Executive Program of Harvard Business School and was named the first "Entrepreneur in Residence" of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife and two children in Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania.
